Amara Lebel

This is a re-read of the series for me. I really enjoyed it the first time around, and I find I like it all the more now. 

In the first book of the series we meet Devlin, the oldest and strongest Paladin in existence. His path toward turning Other is close, and he hates it. But he doesn't need to worry because his Handler, Laurel, is determined to find a way to save him. Even if it means she gets caught up in some nasty situations in order to do so.

I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow. Laurel is a kind hearted woman who adores her job, and the men under her care. But she's also a lady with attitude, and more than ready for the hot-tempered Devlin. Something he doesn't fail to notice. But it isn't all about the romance. There is plenty of sword swinging action and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat!
